A Tribute To A Fallen Friend!

Well with the next temporary departure of the Fat overseas, also comes with the permanent departure of a very close friend of the CDRGG, the Magna or as its more affectionately known as the 'Pissibishi'. Due to the exorbitant costs involved with leaving the magna to sit on its arse for another year, it will have to be released from its contract. Looking back at the glory days, the magna was purchased from a local Bundaberg stable by the Fat's parents to supersede another icon of the Bundaberg streets, the Volvo. The Magna enjoyed the life in the O'Brien family, but it wasn't until 1998 when it really realised it's true potential. Funnily enough this also happened to coincide with the Fat getting his license. Now the Fat being the oldest of the CDRGG, and therefore the first to get his license (if it came down to the time at which you got your license to determine age, then you would swear that Bignose has just come out of puberty), the magna quickly became the main mode of transportation for the CDRGG. Who could forget moments like racing Greeky (aka Shaggin Wagon) back to Tim's or the warp speeds reached trying to make Quinny's in time for kick off in the 1st origin of 1998. But it was the preparation for schoolies where the Pissibishi was born. A trip to the Queenslander to buy all the piss for the inaugural camping trip had the Pissibishi dragging its arse. But the job was done and the Pissibishi relished every future opportunity to be loaded up once again. Upon moving to the Gold Coast a contract was eventually signed by Fatman to make him the permanent jockey. And the magna once again did not disappoint. After a couple of years performing at the elite level the magna returned home to live out its retirement on the Bundaberg streets. But alas, every good innings once again. On the departure of Fatman, the magna will be traded in and laid to rest. Hopefully we will be able to get a carton or two for him. Cause that's the way he would have wanted it. Lest We Forget!
